Princes Highway, Victoria Creek

The $20m Victoria Creek project involves the realignment of the Princes Highway approximately 13 kilometres south of Narooma. The northern extent is approximately 600 metres north of the intersection of the Princes Highway and the old Princes Highway while the southern extent is an approximate distance of 1.5km south of the intersection between Corkhill Drive and the Princes Highway.

In summary the project works include:

  • approximately 3.2 kilometres of new carriage way with a general arrangement of one south bound and one north bound lane;
  • one overtaking lane in each direction, as shown on the drawings;
  • construction of new intersections with the existing highway alignment;
  • construction of a new 3-span semi integral spaced plank bridge over Victoria Creek and decommissioning of the old bridge;
  • design and construction of a private property underpass at Ch 82000;
  • realignment of a watercourse which is tributary of Victoria Creek; and
  • the provision of new access points for residents.

The project works commenced mid 2011 is expected for completion late 2012.
