Thornton Rail Bridge - Maitland, New South Wales
Started in mid 2011, the $8m Thornton Rail project situated in Maitland, New South Wales features the construction of a new bridge adjacent to the existing Thornton Road Bridge over the Main Northern Rail Line.
Project works include:
- construction of approximately 400m of new road embankment and bridge approaches;
- relocation of existing Power, Telstra, Water and Sewer assets;
- construction of a new 52.2m long, 3 span precast plank and cast insitu concrete deck bridge across the main Hunter Valley Railway;
- new local road formation in Longworth Lane and associated intersection improvements.
