Causeway Pedestrian and Cyclist Bridges
About
Seymour Whyte – in a fully integrated ‘Causeway Link Alliance’ with Civmec, WSP and Main Roads WA – is delivering a design and construct (D&C) alliance contract for Perth’s Causeway Pedestrian and Cyclist Bridges.
The iconic new bridges will be built approximately 90 metres downstream of the existing Causeway Bridge. The bridges’ design embeds cultural recognition to this area’s significant Aboriginal cultural history.
The project scope includes two cable-stayed bridges and approach embankments which connects Victoria Park foreshore with Heirisson Island and Perth’s CBD at Point Fraser.
At approximately 1,000 metres long with a new 6-metre-wide connecting path will provide safer access for more than 1,400 cyclists and 1,900 pedestrians.
