Seymour Whyte was engaged under under a formal  sub-alliance contract to deliver earthworks, roadworks, drainage works, piling works, paving, kerb placement and large structural foundation concrete pours for both the BP refinery and BOC industrial gas plant.

An innovative approach for the concrete pours which involved a structure poured on the surface, removing the inside with a clam shell bucket and sinking the structure into the ground was workshopped and successfully adopted.

Complex construction sequencing and planning enabled all works to be completed in a fully operational refinery environment.
