About

The Exit 54 Interchange at Coomera, on Queensland’s Gold Coast, provides access to numerous new and existing residential developments on the eastern and western side of the M1 Motorway, as well as access to major attractions such as Dreamworld® (on the eastern side) and large schools, commercial and industrial estates and various amenities such as the BP Service Centre (on the western side).

This complex road infrastructure upgrade involves construction of a new three-lane overpass over the high speed, high volume M1, which includes a new loop ramp for northbound motorists to connect to the Coomera Town Centre and reduce traffic congestion. Two existing roundabouts will also be replaced with signalised intersections, and the southbound off ramp intersection realigned via a new roundabout.

“Seymour Whyte was proactive in finding solutions to all design, construction and stakeholder issues as they arose, including the significant increase in scope, ensuring the project was completed within the original timeframe.”

David Selth, Delivery Manager, DTMR South Coast Region, Jun 2017
