Seymour Whyte has appointed Michelle Nation as General Manager – Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ).

Michelle Nation will be a member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), based in Melbourne, reporting to John Kirkwood, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer.

This appointment, effective 19 February 2024, reflects Seymour Whyte’s unwavering commitment to leading industry standards in these critical areas.

Her expertise is set to play a pivotal role in Seymour Whyte’s continued dedication to HSEQ leadership, excellence, and sustainability.

With a passion and commitment to enhancing workplace culture through sincere and authentic leadership, Michelle brings more than 25 years’ experience leading teams in sustainability, safety, quality, and risk management through her roles with regulators, rail transport organisations and several contractors including Downer, CPB Contractors and Leighton / Thiess.

Michelle holds a Bachelor of Applied Science from Deakin University, a Graduate Diploma in Occupational Hazard Management from Federation University Australia, and an MBA from RMIT University.

Michelle joins Seymour Whyte from John Holland, where she was the Infrastructure and Major Projects division’s General Manager, Health, Sustainability & Climate.
