Seymour Whyte is proud to have won two major categories at the 2025 NSW CCF Earth Awards, recognising outstanding civil infrastructure delivery across New South Wales.

Sydney Gateway – Winner: Project Value Over $150 Million

Delivered in joint venture with John Holland, Sydney Gateway connects Sydney Airport to the motorway network with 5.1km of new roads and 19 bridges, including the iconic Deborah Lawrie Flyover and Australia’s first launched twin arch bridges, and 3km of active transport links.

Constructed in a constrained and complex environments, the project overcame significant logistical, environmental and stakeholder challenges to achieve outstanding outcomes in  program delivery, and engineering innovation. Sydney Gateway stands as a showcase of disciplined planning, collaborative execution, and technical excellence.

Nelligen Bridge Replacement – Winner: Project Value $75 Million to $150 Million

On the NSW South Coast, Seymour Whyte replaced a 60-year-old structure with a flood-resilient, 349-metre bridge spanning the Clyde River. Delivered within Batemans Marine Park, the project eliminated all underwater welding, avoided marine fauna incidents, and reused over 7,300 tonnes of treated acid sulfate soils and concrete.

The bridge has since become a source of pride for local residents, with 48% local workforce participation and a strong cultural engagement program.

These awards reflect our commitment to delivering infrastructure that exceeds expectations—technically, environmentally and socially. It’s an honour to be recognised among the best in the state.

As we expand across transport, water and energy sectors, Seymour Whyte remains focused on building resilient, inclusive infrastructure that shapes thriving communities.
