With weeks to go before the Sydney Gateway’s official road opening, drive-through animations are helping drivers learn about their journey to Sydney Airport.
The driver view animations have been created to help drivers familiarise themselves with lane configurations, signage, and exits to and from Sydney Airport and St Peters Interchange, which connects to the M8 Motorway and the main routes to Western Sydney, the M4 and M5.
The 5km Sydney Gateway is on track to open to traffic on Sunday 1 September 2024, to help motorists save an estimated 17 minutes between the airport and the St Peters Interchange.
The road network also provides an alternative route for around 10,000 trucks per day travelling to the airport and Port Botany, reducing the number of tracks on local streets in and around Mascot.
