Tom’s journey began in 1987, after a fortuitous interview with Garry Whyte, co-founder of Seymour Whyte, set him on a path to see him become the company’s cornerstone.

Over the years, Tom’s role evolved significantly, from his initial position supervising projects to becoming the pioneering Survey Manager who led Seymour Whyte into the future by adopting new technologies and methodologies.

Tom’s passion for innovation and his commitment to excellence have been evident throughout his tenure. He was pivotal in introducing advancements such as GPS and machine control, drone technology, and stringless concrete paving, significantly enhancing the company’s productivity and efficiency.

Under his leadership, the surveying team grew from a one-person operation to the largest in-house constructor’s survey team in Australia, showcasing his vision for growth and mentorship.

Tom’s dedication to professional development and his efforts to ensure his team exceeded industry standards reflect his belief in the power of continuous learning and improvement.
