Seymour Whyte makes a splash: joint venture flows into Sydney Water’s Upper South Creek Networks EPCM Contract
A Seymour Whyte joint venture with Jacobs has received an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management (EPCM) services contract from Sydney Water for the Upper South Creek Networks Program in Western Sydney.
This landmark project, focused on delivering crucial wastewater infrastructure to support the rapidly growing Western Sydney region, cements our commitment to enhancing Australia’s water network sustainability and resilience.
The Upper South Creek Networks Program is designed to cater to the growing demand for wastewater services, driven by rapid development in the area, including the new Western Sydney International Airport.
The first stage of work will be underway before the end of the year, which will include the design and construction of new wastewater pumping stations and, gravity carriers.
Under the contract, the Jacobs Seymour Whyte Joint Venture will be responsible for delivering EPCM services, which include comprehensive program management, design, system planning, procurement, and integration throughout the project’s various phases.
In line with Sydney Water’s commitment to sustainability, the project will emphasise safety in design, digital engineering solutions and compliance with the latest standards to ensure a future-ready infrastructure solution.
Seymour Whyte Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer John Kirkwood said, “We are thrilled to be partnering with Sydney Water and Jacobs on this transformative project that will provide essential services to one of the fastest-growing regions in Australia.”
“Our joint venture brings together a wealth of experience in delivering large-scale infrastructure projects, and we are committed to delivering world-class results that will benefit the local community for decades to come.”
“This contract win reflects our dedication to innovative and sustainable engineering practices and we look forward to working closely with all stakeholders to bring this key project to life.”
